Our History-
The Journey of Faith and Mission
The Calling – A Life Transformed by God (2009)
The story of Good Samaritan Church in Pakistan began in 2009 when God called Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir to serve Him and proclaim The Good News of Jesus Christ. At that time, Rev. Nasir was working a full-time 9 to 5 job when he developed a severe skin disease on both of his feet. Doctors feared he could lose them.
In faith, he resigned from his job on February 20, 2009, trusting God for healing. Just one week later, he experienced a miraculous healing through JESUS Christ. This astonishing recovery amazed his family and friends, and he made a life-long commitment to serve God and share his testimony with the world.
The Birth of Good Samaritan Ministries
Rev. Nasir began his ministry by sharing his testimony in small gatherings, visiting churches in villages and towns, and distributing Christian literature and DVDs of Jesus films. During one of these meetings, God led him to preach the story of the Good Samaritan from the Bible. In that moment, God gave him the name “Good Samaritan Ministries”, marking the official birth of the ministry in 2009.
The Hunger for God’s Word – A Childhood Experience
Growing up in a large family of nine, Rev. Nasir experienced a deep hunger for the Word of God. His family had only one Urdu Bible, and each family member had to take turns reading it. Seeing this spiritual hunger, even as a child, he prayed that one day he would work to end the Gospel famine in Pakistan.
God answered this childhood prayer. Starting with just five Urdu Bibles, Rev. Nasir distributed them to pastors and his mother, praying for more. God miraculously opened doors, and since then, hundreds of thousands of Urdu Bibles have been distributed across Pakistan.
Expanding the Mission – A Global Vision (2011-2015)
In 2011, God made a way for Rev. Nasir to travel to the USA to study the Word of God at a Bible college. During his five years in the USA, he:
•God Equipped him with deeper biblical knowledge
•God Connected him with churches and believers in the USA
• Shared the Good Samaritan Ministries’ mission
•Continued traveling back to Pakistan to preach at large evangelistic crusades
Rev. Nasir’s passion for evangelism brought thousands to Christ. In 2013, he returned to Pakistan and married Mehwish, a dedicated Christian woman who now serves alongside him in ministry.
Full-Time Ministry & Church Planting (2015 – Present)
In 2015, Rev. Nasir returned to Pakistan full-time to focus on:
✅ Church Planting – Establishing churches where there were none
✅ Free Urdu Bible Distribution – Providing Bibles to persecuted believers
✅ Tuition-Free Christian Schools – Educating underprivileged Christian children
✅ Aid to the Persecuted – Helping families suffering for their faith
✅ Brick Kiln Freedom Project – Rescuing Christian families from slavery
God expanded the ministry across Pakistan, opening doors for Rev. Nasir and Mehwish to speak internationally about the growing need for support.
Building Churches & A Permanent Headquarters (2016-2017)
In 2016, God placed a new vision on Rev. Nasir’s heart – to purchase land and build Good Samaritan Churches in areas where congregations had no church buildings.
In 2017, the Good Samaritan Church Headquarters was established at:
📍 Haji Park #1, Anum Road, Asif Town, Ferozepur Road, Lahore, Pakistan
The first Sunday service at the new headquarters took place on October 22, 2017. Initially, only a few team members and believers attended, but soon, hundreds began to gather as people experienced the power of God and the Holy Spirit.
Today, Good Samaritan Ministries continues to build new church buildings, ensuring every congregation has a place to worship and grow in faith.
Maranatha Christian High School – Educating the Next Generation (2021-Present)
In March 2021, the ministry established Maranatha Christian High School, a tuition-free Christian school providing education to over 500 underprivileged Christian children. This school is a life-changing opportunity for students who otherwise would never receive an education.
Rev. Nasir continues to expand the school system, planting more Christian schools across Pakistan, ensuring that the next generation is educated in faith and knowledge.
A Vision for the Future – Growing in Faith (2028 and Beyond)
The Good Samaritan Church Headquarters has outgrown its rented building, which now holds over 500 believers. The ministry plans to build a larger facility by 2028, accommodating over 1,000 people.
Recently, the church purchased another building to expand, but two more properties are needed to complete the project. We ask for your prayers and invite partners to join us in building a permanent worship center for believers in Pakistan.
